Common Cents Charity Golf Tournament Raises Over $50,000!

We did it again! This year's Common Cents Charity Golf Tournament was again a record year and we passed the monumental level of $50,000 thanks to the efforts of our suppliers, customers and especially the dedicated employees of Common Cents. This year's tournament was held on September 1st in Rapid City at the Golf Club at Red Rock to support Shriner's Patient Transportation Funds in our 5 state trade area.

Our tournament continues to be the "must attend event" amongst our suppliers. This is evident by this year's number of competitors - 142 players. Golfers constantly comment on the level of professionalism and organization and their enjoyment of the relaxed format of our event. With our suppliers help, we were able to net $23,000 for our charity.

However, the real story again is the level of commitment exhibited by all of our employees in our annual store donation campaign. This year you raised an unbelievable record amount of $27,000. This is a huge amount of money to be raised by 34 stores! This meant that some stores really worked the program.

Top store this year was once again Store #111 in Wall, SD raising over $3300! That takes a total commitment by everyone in the store to raise this amount of money.

Tops Stores raising over $2,000 were as follows:
259 - $2558
252 - $2,451
124 - $2,314
102 - $2030

Those over $1,000 were:
152 - $1,628
256 - $1,494
210 - $1118

The top 2 districts were Devin Pescika's group with $9,674 and Mike Bendt's stores raising $8080. These 2 districts consistently are the top groups of stores so hats off to Devin and Mike for getting you all behind this event.

Reaching an amount of $50,000 is something we all should be proud of as a company. The money goes a long way to make sure that Shriners in our home towns can continue to support the outstanding free medical care of Shriners Hospitals needed by so many deserving children in our communities.

This is just some of the 2000 donation cards filling the walls of Store #102 during this years Shriner Donation Campaign.

As I Shiner, I sincerely thank all you again for your support!
