Another Record Amount Raised For The Shriners Patient Transportation Fund!

It has been 12 years since the Shriners Patient Transportation Fund has become the beneficiary of the Common Cents Charity Golf Tournament and Store Donation campaign.  It has been very exciting because each year, the total raised has been higher than the prior year.  I am pleased to report that this year has been no exception as we raised over $72,000 for the charity in 2011!

Our golf tournament was again held at the Golf Course at Red Rock in Rapid City.  It was another beautiful September day, with the course in excellent condition for the 138 golfers who had a great time raising money for our charity.  This year’s tournament netted $28,000!

But here’s the real impressive news. . .With another outstanding effort by our store personnel, we shattered the previous record by raising over $45,000!  The top 3 stores in the company raised a unbelievable amount of money lead by Lataschia Velasquez’ store #264 who raised $3,713 narrowly beating out Belinda Jorgensen’s store #253 who’s store raised $3,659 followed closely by last year’s winner Chris Roberts’ store #202 who’s store raise $3,379!  Those 3 locations raised $10,751 or 22% of the company total!

Top stores by district that raised over $1,000 were as follows:

Rapid City Area          Store 108 - $!,522 and Store 105 - $1,037
Northern Hills Area    Store 111 - $2,581; Store 124 - $2,398 and Store 102 - $1,084
Northern Idaho Area  Store 162 - $2,004 and Store 160 - $1,112
Southern Idaho Area  Store 152 - $2,575
Northern Utah Area    Store 264 - $3,713; Store 256 – $2,146 and Store 252 - $1,876
Southern Utah Area    Store 253 - $3,659; Store 259 - $1,789 and Store 266 - $1,353
Wyoming Area            Store 202 - $3,379

As a Shriner, I can’t express just how proud that I am to work with all of you and just how thankful and appreciative Shriners are for your generous support of our fraternity and especially the children that we service.

Thank you.
